Full SWEEP in Oklahoma!

This weekend the Wolff racing team made the 10 hour trip south west to Davis, OK for the first round of the Ultra4 USA Central race series at Cross bar ranch off road park. Paul was registered to race in the 4900 UTV Open and Pro modified races on Friday and the 4400 Unlimited class on Saturday.

Kicking of the weekend with qualifying for all classes on Friday morning. The weekend got off to a bit of a rough start for Paul. Battling mechanical issues in both of the UTV and 4400 cars during his qualifying run Paul would salvage a 4th place starting position in 4400, 3rd in the UTV Pro Modified and 7th in the UTV Open.

With the UTV Open race starting just an hour and a half after the end of qualifying. Paul had minimal time to get his UTV repaired for the start of the race. Quite literally working on it up to the minute he was slotted to leave the starting line. As the repairs were finished Paul made his way to the staging to take the green flag at the back of the pack. Having missed his opportunity to leave the starting line in the position he qualified. Battling from the back Paul made his way thru all of the cars on course and would have the physical race lead by the end of the 2nd lap. Along with an abundance of adjusted time in his favor after taking a rear start. Not only would his competitors have to physically pass him. They would have to put several minutes of time between them to take his lead away. Maintaining his position throughout the 3rd and final lap Paul would take the WIN in the UTV open class.

Immediately following the Open race Paul lined back up to race the Pro modified class in the very same car. Leaving the line in the physical 3rd position. it would only take a few miles before Paul worked his way to the physical lead on course. Where he remained for the entirety of the race. Earning his second WIN of the weekend in the 4900 UTV Pro modified class and marking his 10th WIN IN A ROW in the 4900 UTV classes.

Saturday was the 4400 unlimited race. 4 laps on a grueling 18 mile course. Leaving the starting line in the physical 4th position. Paul ran a conservative race for the first 2 laps. After his devastating loss at this very track during Nationals last year. Paul wanted this win more than any other this weekend.

Pushing his way to the physical first position on course by the start of the 3rd lap. Paul would have the physical lead by about 9 minutes  as well as several minutes of adjusted time. Giving him the ability to coast to the finish line and secure his 3rd WIN of the weekend. Completely sweeping the podiums in all classes he registered to race. An acomplishment Paul has been working towards since he began racing ultra4.

Adding to the success of the weekend Paul also put down the Fastest Lap times in Both UTV and 4400 and well as the overall Fastest lap of the weekend in all classes.
